1. Nonstick Very few solid substances will permanently adhere to a Teflon® finish. Even a thin film of Teflon® on surface will provide good nonstick property.

Food Industry – Baking Utensils, Baking Pan, Waffle Maker, assorted Cake Molds, Flour Mixer, Kitchen Utensils, Food Conveyor, Bread Slicer.
Advantages of nonstick coating on bakeware:
1) Eliminate or reduce the use of grease release
2) Achieve consistent shape and good quality products, reduce the reject rates
3) To avoid the black spots on the bottom of products due to the charred release grease
4) Increase product shelf-life due to the elimination of release grease

2. Heat Resistance and Cryogenic Stability Teflon® industrial coatings can operate continuously at temperatures as low as -270°C/-454°F up to 260°C/500°F. Many Teflon® industrial coatings withstand severe temperature extremes without loss of physical properties.

3. Corrosion Resistance Teflon® coatings are essentially very non-reactive and chemically inert, partly because of the strength of carbon–fluorine bonds. Within the range of its temperature resistance, only very few chemicals are known to chemically react with Teflon®.

      There is about 30% of steel products suffered corrosion. Among these corroded products, 10% will become useless iron rust. Currently, the financial lost world wide due to corrosion is about $7000 billion dollars annually. Corrosion has not only direct negative impact to the modern industrial process but also contribute to the work stoppage, interruption of production indirectly, the financial losses are hard to estimate.

4. Low Coefficient of Friction The coefficient of friction of Teflon® coatings is generally in the range of 0.05 to 0.15, depending on the load, sliding speed, and the particular Teflon® coating used.

5. Food Safety Some Teflon® coating products are allowed to contact food per US FDA regulation of Title 21, section 177.1550, 177.300.

6. Electrical Properties Over a wide range of frequencies, Teflon® coatings have high dielectric strength, low dissipation factor, and very high surface resistivity.

7. Nonwetting Since surfaces coated with Teflon® are both oleophobic and hydrophobic, they are not readily wetted. Cleanup is easier and more thorough — in many cases, surfaces are self-cleaning.

 House Appliance – Heater, Microwave Oven, Coffee Pot, Steak Plate, Waffle Maker, Ice Maker, Range Hood

      By special techniques, it can even be made electroconductive enough to be used as an anti-static coating that can be useful in Powder Manufacture, Paper Industry, and Fiber Industry.
